Music was a huge source of encouragement to me when I walked through my breast cancer journey. Another idea to care for your friend facing her own journey would be to gift her a playlist of inspiring music. One of my loving friends gifted me Matt Redman’s 10,000 Reasons and from that album I found great significance in the song “Never Once”. I love that iTunes offers the option to gift an album or individual songs to someone’s email.
Below are a few of my personal favorites:
- For Your Splendor – Christy Nockels
- Come As You Are – Crowder
- What Do I Know of Holy – Addison Road
- Healing Is In Your Hands – Christy Nockels
- With You Now – Ellie Holcomb
- I Need You Now – Matt Redman
- Reason to Sing – All Sons and Daughters
- Good to Me – Audrey Assad
- Count On Me – Bruno Mars
- To Be With You – Reeve Coobs
- Healer – Kari Jobe
- Already All I Need – Christy Nockels
- How He Loves – David Crowder Band
- God With Us – All Sons and Daughters
- Came To My Rescue – Hillsong
- Never Once – Matt Redman
As a parent of little ones there are many times that I don’t get my choice of music. If your Pink Warrior friend is a mom to young kids, she may not always get to listen to her music either. I have found that the music of Seeds Family Worship which is intended for my kids is sometimes just the W0rd I need to hear in that moment. They have just released a new album called Word of God that I am excited to check out.
