Yesterday I mentioned my chemo sidekick, a.k.a. my mom. I remember several times while I was hooked up to IV’s, she promised me that there would be better days ahead. We dreamed about a really special trip we would take to one of our favorite places on earth once we were on the other side of my treatment. In March 2013, we made that dream a reality with an unbelievable, “pinch me I must be dreaming” trip to the islands of Oahu and Maui. I was in such awe of God’s Grace on that trip that I just couldn’t help but blog about it every day while we were there in a series called Rainbows.
Maybe a trip to Hawaii isn’t what your Pink Warrior’s friend’s dreams are made of or maybe it just seems like it is not in your power to make a trip like that her reality. The point is she needs you to sit and talk about what her dreams are made of. She needs to know that someone else believes those dreams will come true. She needs a be reminded that her dreams are worth the fight.
