Exciting things are happening at Pinked Perspective! I thought I would use Valentine’s Day and share the LOVE by letting you in the exciting news. While I feel the mastectomy kits have covered most of the bases, there is one thing I have been wanting to add for some time now. I wish I had some sewing skills (let me know if you know of anyone that would like to give me lessons) to make this happen sooner. But this is the beauty of this ministry–God continues to provide people with a heart to come along side me and love on women facing a breast cancer diagnosis. A sweet servant of the Lord that I have come to know through our children’s preschool has offered her sewing skills to make over a dozen of these special pink seatbelt pillows. The ride home from the hospital as well as any car ride in the weeks following a mastectomy surgery can be painful with the pressure of the seatbelt to the chest. We will now be able to provide these pillows to allow for some cushion and hopefully ease some of the discomfort. This is just one of the many exciting things I hope to add to the ministry of Pinked Perspective in 2015.
