As we flip the calendar to another November, my heart aches a little bit. It is in October that this girl finds incredible energy and purpose. That does not mean it is without struggle. But in all faithfulness, The Lord continues to meet me in the struggle and whispers “Finish the Fight”. Whether it is through a historical series win in my favorite professional sport, through the beautiful smiles of over 200 participants of Think Pink 2019, or through the provision of over $20,000 in funds and supplies to be used in support of those facing a breast cancer diagnosis, I can’t help but be convicted and convinced that God had called me to this ministry because of my pinked perspective.
For this month of November, I will sit (and try to rest to some extent) in thankfulness at all the ways that October blew me away. Thank you so much to all that showed your support of Pinked Perspective this past month. As I mentioned so many people have given in monetary donation, as well as the actual pink items that go into our mastectomy and non-mastectomy kits. Over a week after our main fundraising event, I am still sorting, organizing and recording the donations. At the same time, the requests for kits to be sent to those facing a new diagnosis and treatment continue to pour in. There is plenty of fight to finish!
We had a great response to our returning and newly created Pinked gear at the event.
