Since this is the first email Newsletter of 2025, we wanted to take a moment to reflect and say…

With your help, Pinked Perspective experienced:

- Expansion of our leadership team with the addition of an Executive Director! (Stay Tuned for more on this exciting news in our March Newsletter)
- $57,000 in fundraising thanks to amazing community partnerships with other breast cancer organizations, local businesses, family foundations and YOU!
Thank you to all the Local Pink Warriors that joined us for our last Empower Hour Workshop. Dr. Christy Asonglefac kicked off our time together with a mobility sequence that we can do in standing for those times during our workday that we might not have our yoga mats on hand nor be able to get to the floor. Once we were able to move better through our shoulders and spine, we were led in an interesting discussion around “Nutrition and Breast Cancer” by Christy’s husband Kevin Asonglefac, FNP, IFMCP, Certified Integrative Sports Nutritionist. Kevin discussed creating a Balanced Nutrition Plan including improving our food choices to decrease inflammation and insulin resistance. Stay tuned for information about our next Empower Hour!

Kit Assembly
January was a busy month for Pinked’s Kit Assembly Gatherings! From Diane’s Happy Hour Kit Assembly in Annapolis full of fun and culinary delights, to an afternoon Kit Assembly with Wellness House of Annapolis* members (comprised of cancer thrivers, some in current treatment, and a few caregivers), Pinked was able to come away with several kits which will be shipped throughout the next few weeks. In addition, just last week students from Broadneck High School’s Cancer Awareness Club helped with a few “Pinked Projects” getting some of the items in the kits ready for our upcoming kit assemblies. Grateful for so many helpful hands who make the work lighter! *Wellness House of Annapolis provides a safe space for cancer patients and their loved ones to learn, connect, and support each other during treatment and recovery. |

Hear What Kit Recipients Are Saying…
![]() “Thank you so very much for such a wonderful box full of much needed gifts. I am overwhelmed by your generosity. And the handmade items just feel like they are full of love and that’s so comforting. Please thank everyone who took the time to make those. Be sure I am bringing them with me for my upcoming surgery & recovery at my sister’s house. And as you can see, it really was like Christmas as I opened the box under our holiday Valentine’s tree.” ~Kit Recipient, Point Pleasant, NJ |
