 Spring has Sprung!…Or Has it?! This month’s newsletter is full of exciting happenings along with a few specific ask’s of You all, our faithful supporters. But before we get to all that, I want to take a pause for this week in which we find ourselves. Some refer to it as Holy Week, but I do love when I hear it referred to as “Passion Week”. For it could only be out of His complete unfailing love and passion that Jesus would give His life for mine. This is a truth that completely overwhelms me at times. And if there was one significant take-away from my breast cancer journey all those years ago, it was that I am SO precious to Him, He holds all of my trials and victories in His hands and wants to travel them with me. I pray that you get to take some time this week to soak in just how loved you are as well. ~ KaraA few weeks ago, we attended our sixth Bosom Buddies CharitiesBall. It is always such a well-organized event and special evening out for us. This time we got to share it with some wonderful friends and key contributors to the mission of Pinked Perspective. My husband Blake and I were joined by Francine and Lawrence Scott, as well as Christy and Kevin Asonglefac to enjoy a fancy night of dinner and dancing to raise funds for organizations in our community who share the mission to lighten the weight of a breast cancer journey. So much thanks to Bosom Buddies Charities for a wonderful event and for all that you do for the breast cancer community in Maryland.    Calling local Pink Warriors and those in current treatment! I met Kara the previous year through a friend and being a new survivor myself I was so impressed with Pinked Perspective that I was excited to help. We gathered with some new and old friends, had some nibbles and drinks while Kara explained to our group all about her mission and how our help was greatly appreciated. My group “Diane’s Happy Hour” was thrilled to jumped right in to start assembling kits right away. We learned a few things and shared some wonderful stories. It was truly a touching experience, and I received so many nice compliments about what a great idea this event was. We were also able to see some nice response messages from some of the recipients, which warmed our hearts. I look forward to hosting another event in the future. Pinked Perspective is striving to help women going through breast cancer treatments and every little bit helps.
